L’Atalante & Breathless Response Paper
Number of words: 496 | Number of pages: 2.... things made L’Atalante almost bearable, I didn’t especially like it.
Breathless, on the other hand, held my interest. There was a definite plot as well as plenty of action and romance. I also enjoyed it because I had the feeling that everything I would need to know about the characters was revealed from the beginning.
This film had a much more “stylized” mise-en-scene than L’Atalante.
Some aspects of the mise-en-scene that caught my attention were the costuming and acting styles. The Bogart-esque costuming and mannerisms of Michel aided in explaining his character. Even though the film makers seemingly wanted the aud .....

Nell
Number of words: 644 | Number of pages: 3.... While the
language that she used was different, Nell still gave a good list of very
abstract ideas that someone who is mentally retarded could not possibly
comprehend. Nell understood why she was different saying that she was raised in
a small world and knew small things unlike the large things found in the city of
Charlotte, N.C. This proved that Nell was very capable of living by herself and
taking care of herself.
3) The experts, in the beginning of the movie, said that Nell was not
capable of making the correct judgments to make in the world by herself. They
did not believe that Nell had the wisdom to make the correct ch .....

27 Years Of Influential 60 Minutes
Number of words: 1492 | Number of pages: 6.... its
origin, 60 Minutes has continued to adhere to the same formula that made
it such a success. The hidden-camera interviews, the surprising of
unsuspecting alleged crooks with a bombardment of questions, the longevity
of the featured reporters, all of these are what made 60 Minutes a
success--finishing in the top 10 Nielson ratings for 17 consecutive seasons
and counting. Other than the fact that it changed from black-and-white to
color with the new technology, the appearance of 60 Minutes has remained
consistent. There is no reason to change a thing about such a prosperous
show according to Hewitt. Not only has the form .....

the actual perpetrator is far away. Also, it is easier than ever to find a
professional assassin who will kill anyone for the right amount of money. These
latter methods could allow a person to commit murder and easily get away with it.
Even though the actual murderer may be caught, the person financing the
operation could get away untouched.
In Macbeth, Duncan was well protected by his guards. However, he was
still murdered. The guards were overcome through a simple tri .....

Hamlet And King Lear: Villians
Number of words: 2354 | Number of pages: 9.... one might argue that both are cruel murderers, there still remains a large moral gap between Edmund and Claudius. The choice of language by a character often reveals insight into his character. The use of literary devices such as symbolism, irony, and double meaning all reveal more than what is literally expressed by a character. Often much of a character's speech is expressed while in the presence of other characters; the presence of others often influences the content of the villain's speech. A character planning to kill another man will not express ill feelings towards that man so that he may seem innocent. Villains, as suc .....
