Falstaff's Role In Henry IV, Part One
Number of words: 921 | Number of pages: 4.... Falstaff's frivolity from the play
and it can exist for its own sake apart from the major theme of the drama.
3. That the play is really about the fate of the kingdom, and that you
(the reader) do not connect Falstaff's scenes with the main action. This
means that the play has no real unity.
Starting with Johnson's first assumption, I do agree with this. Any
discussion of Falstaff is bound to include a judgement about his moral
character. Is he a coward, a thief, a glutton? No one can deny that he is
in fact a glutton and a thief. A coward is debatable. I choose to think he
is. He is self centered and cares only for hi .....

Number of words: 478 | Number of pages: 2.... values showed again when Biff stole a football from school and a whole case of them at the sporting goods store were he worked. Willy’s motto was that biff didn’t mean any harm. Willy even laughed when the boys stole lumber from a construction sight nearby. This proves that Willy is passing his false values to his sons.
Secondly, Willy is a dishonest man. Willy tries to get Bernard to let Biff cheat off of him on a math test. Willy says to Bernard, “you’ll give him the answers” (1366; act1). Barnard refuses to give Biff the answers. Willy is also dishonest to Linda. He has an affair with her when he took a t .....

The Setting In "A Doll's House"
Number of words: 162 | Number of pages: 1.... against. This simple fact affects the whole
play's outcome. A young woman by the name of Nora is under the control of
her husband. He feels that he must rule her for he is the head of the
family. He would place small stipulations on her such as not being able
to eat macaroons. When she would make mistakes, he would refer to her by
some little name like, "Lark" or "Squirrel."
All of these things mentioned ar due to the setting. This caused Nora
to want to leave more and more. I believe Ibsen picked this setting to
tell of how women were treated. .....

The Walkabout
Number of words: 429 | Number of pages: 2.... why the father in the beginning did anything that he did. Having a picnic in the desert, shooting at the kids, committing suicide and then blowing up the car. I also thought that the oasis was quite odd. The water and fruit were there and disappeared as mysteriously as it appeared.
I really liked the part when the three of them were playing in a tree together and at the same time the Aborigines were playing in the car. It was almost like the two swapped places. I thought that it was funny when the radio turned on and they all ran away. It was a comic relief. But why did they hang the body?
All in all, the movie was cle .....

Movie Review: Dangerous Minds
Number of words: 621 | Number of pages: 3.... failed. At the beginning of the movie it shows how two teachers
have already quit their job at this school and had given up on these
students. Many educational stereotypes are out in today's world, which
makes people believe that these students do not want to learn or just do
not care about their futures. While this may be true in some instances
many students are desperate to connect with someone who cares about them.
Life has taught them to trust no one and count on nothing so many teachers
see this as a wall on the road to teaching them. The students of urban
public schools, of who many are bused in on a daily basis for the su .....

Romeo And Juliet: Violence And Bloodshed
Number of words: 450 | Number of pages: 2.... on "climate" in Harold Rose's Yur Guide to Northern Italy, I noted that "Italy is a very hot place in the summer, also quite humid."
After reading this I then realized that a great deal of the violence in Romeo and Juliet become more understandable; they're all short tempered because of the heat! This is even noted when Benvolio warns Mercutio that " The day is hot, and Capulets abroad/And if we meet we shall not scape a brawl/ For now, these hot days, is the mad blood stirring." Unfortunatley, he warns too late, and the brawls he wished to avoid is met in the form of Tybalt.
The mad blood stirring...Think back a few summer .....

Richard III
Number of words: 724 | Number of pages: 3.... clearly shows the
motives by which despot rulers rule, but it fails to explain why and how these
motives originate in the human mind.
In order to comprehend why such a high level of fear and insecurity can
be brought about, a look at the upbringing and personal life of Richard should
be brought into discussion. One of three brothers, Richard was in constant
competition of who would succeed in gaining the throne of England. Richard,
like his other brothers, wanted the title of king quite badly, but as time
pressed on it seemed less likely that Richard would succeed in gaining the
throne. His shrewd attitude and a physical d .....

The Madness Of Prince Hamlet
Number of words: 2182 | Number of pages: 8.... revenge. In this statement the play makes an easy to follow shift. This shift consists of Hamlet giving up the role of a student and mourning son. Hamlet says,
I'll wipe away all trivial fond records,
All saws of books, all forms, all pressures past,
That youth and observation copied there,
And thy commandment all alone shall live
Within the book and volume of my brain
(1.5.99-103)
Hamlet is declaring that he will be committed to nothing else but the revenge of his fathers death. There is no confusion about Hamletis character. He has said earlier that he is what he appears to be, and there is no reason to doubt it. In the next .....
