With the excellent traits that Vance brings into the jury room, he allows the trial to run smoothly and effectively. Dorian Harwood’s profession as nurse also shapes his actions in the jury room. In the jury room, he acts with compassion and respect. As a nurse he does the same. His compassion lies in caring for another. He relates that to the trial by thinking of the boy as one of his patients. He wants him to have a fair chance at life, and therefore wants him to have .....

.... a wild plague has been killing a big population of the city-state of Thebes . This was a big conflict that the people in Thebes turned to King Oedipus to solve. He helped the city before by solving the riddle of the Sphinx and they needed help from him once more. During this plague, blight on the crops was present, children stillborn, women dying after giving birth, and cattle were sickened. The main characters in both epic poems were also very similar. Both King Oedipus and Odysseus were well-respected leaders of their cities. This respect is shown in The Odyssey when Zeus ordered his daughter Athene to inform Odysseus' famil .....

In the hysteria a scientist , Wu, discovers that the dinosaurs have been mating, which they thought wasn't possible, because they were only cloning females, but the dinosaurs have adapted and have found a way to reproduce. They think they got the power back on so they try to put all the animals back in their holding areas. Little did they know that the whole time the park was running on auxiliary .....

In addition, he treats her like a child, a ³feather head² who can't understand anything important. In The Awakening, Leonce is more subtle in his mistreatment of his wife. He tries to control Edna by pushing his point until she does what he wants. He also tries to make her feel bad about herself. For example, he tells her she isn't a good mother to their sons. .... Jack first appears, he comes out of the “darkness of the forest” and Ralph, the symbol of goodness, cannot see Jack’s face because his back is to the sun. Darkness can be another symbol of death. Also, blood is something that we often can relate with death, and Jack is obsessed with killing the pigs on the island and shedding their blood. The blood shows how Jack turns into a savage, since at first he is afraid of the blood but he eventually is thirsty for it and smears it all over his own body and those of his followers, showing how he was practically in love with the blood and death of the pig. It is within; these prison walls, in my opinion, that Twain uses the most intense satire throughout the book, socially criticizing the unjust laws and practice .....

The main character, Huckleberry Finn, was an adventurous boy who was kind, smart, and shrewd but, no matter where he went, he always got into trouble. Jim, who was a run away slave, was a very kind man. He is very smart and knowledgeable of natural surroundings, and has good common sense. Jim and Huck were best friends. Widow Douglas was the lady who took care of Huck. She was a sweet lady who tried to teach Huck how to be proper and civilized. Huck’s father was basically a town .....
