The Power Of Obierika
Number of words: 734 | Number of pages: 3.... Christians will die, the Christians will die!"
Obierika screamed the manta over and over, aware of his inhuman and mangled voice. Not as mangled as the Christians made Nwoye to become one of them, he was the fine and sensible son of Okonkwo. What evil magic did the Christians wield that they could force Nwoye to forsake the gods and turn his loyalty towards their leader, Christ?
Still consumed by his anger Obierika rushed through the village waving his rifle and machete wildly in the air and bellowing battle cries at the timid villagers. The men of the village gathered around him and tried to restrain him.

MR. JP MONTY

Doubts about his ability to make a good impression entered his mind,

Creative Story: The Lake
Number of words: 454 | Number of pages: 2.... the time for us to find the desired vessel arrived. We chose the
kayaks, and set out for the water. Carefully, with our torn-jeans rolled up,
and shirts off, we dragged the massive thing over the slope of grass and mud
into the shallow stream. We then hopped aboard, grabbed the paddles, and
floated and splashed into nowhere. The wavy current sucked us downstream,
periodically bouncing us off of sandbags and sharp branches leaning over the
water- Now that was true adventure! Minutes later, my brother and I, after
passing under many pipes and tunnels, floated into a huge "cul de sac" of water,
with an island in the center. In ou .....

The Green Light Café
Number of words: 962 | Number of pages: 4.... to the sky away for Nick. He savored his forte- clever, witty social and spiritual observations. On this particular night, however, we rewrote the words to an old 80’s song that could not have been that good because none of us could remember the words, title, or artist who performed it. We knew the tune however, and the green light reaching down from overhead was enough to lead us through an improvisation that we happened to catch on tape. We listened to it over and over again. The smoke in the room became thicker.
No words capture the essence of the song better than the phrase Something Nifty. The song now bares this de .....

gone first. When it was Arnold's turn, his rifle caught on a wire and
consequently fired. The next moment, his brother, Eugie fell forward, dead.
Some would suggest that Arnold, being the youngest, was jealous,
but the evidence suggests that Arnold greatly admired Eugie, making his
death even more traumatic. Eugie was the eldest in the family. He was
tall and had a very good figure: "Arnold never tired of watching Eugie
offer silent praise unto himself."(p.2) Arnold greatly admired his brother
and wished to be just like Eugie when he grew up. He wondered that, "…if
when h .....

The Old Lady Next Door
Number of words: 831 | Number of pages: 4.... you see more garbage than you could ever find in any garbage dump. The seats are all torn up inside, as if she let a wild cat run through her car and tear it up. If you listen very closely you can hear little scratching noises. I think that it’s from the mice and rodents inside the car somewhere.
Now, her dog in the backyard is completely berserk. Every time I look over the fence into her backyard, it’s like I’m seeing it for the first time. There’s only one thing that stays the same; her dog has these little tiny white hairs all over him and I think he grows more than two thousand of these things every day. Th .....

Creative Writing: The Meadow
Number of words: 516 | Number of pages: 2.... diving for
insects. My thoughts reflect relaxation as my mind focuses on the pleasing
imagery.
The sounds of the meadow complement the beautiful imagery, and create a
sense of inner peace and harmony. The soothing sounds drifted across the meadow
like an orchestra playing at Carnegie Hall. The buzzing of the bees feeding on
pollen made up the chorus. A woodpecker kept a steady beat as he drilled a hole
in the oak tree. Birds whistling, and peeping formed the brass section like
trumpets playing an excerpt from the 1812 Overture. All these sounds, and many
more blended together to create a relaxing melody soothing to the ear .....

cat Felix with me though, his loving silence has only shown love and that
face of a sleeping tabby is to amazing to exclude from this fantasy. The
scenery above is much different from the scenery below. Up above their is
no filth, pollution, or violence. Just the clouds, the wind, darkness, the
peaceful silence lightened a bit by the twinkling stars that shine with
happiness. I fell in love with the solemnity of the night, and realized
how rarely I experienced this peace. Sailing higher, and higher I
anxiously awaited the destin .....
