The Book doesn’t work in a strict and orderly fashion but starts out to describe at length different characters, then moves to fast actions, slows down again to a very argued trail, then draws rapidly to a close with Billy’s hanging. Even after that event, (the hanging), the book lingers on with a comment of it and ties up all loose ends (Captain Vere dieing etc…). Though this story lacks orthodox format, it coheres in a profound and moving way. The style and point of view of Billy Budd can be dealt with together b/c of the strong narrative voice determines both. The narrator of the story is clearly a highly .....

.... a lively, animated, and supportive dwelling. His images of "The sun breaking through..." contrast heavily with Conrad's dark and gloomy imagery. Conrad is more biased from the beginning against the African people, seeing them as an extension of the "impenetrable forest" where his character Marlow is, "...cut off for ever from everything you had know once... "[sic] Marlow's jungle is one of, Aplants, and water, and silence." These images lend themselves to the British impression of Africa as an "uncivilized" place. Casy did not consider himself a minister at the time The Grapes of Wrath takes place. "But I ain't a preacher no more" is spoken many times by Casy in denial that he is a man of the cloth. Indeed, Casy is brutally killed in the novel, but it does not go into graphic, violent detail. .... Alcee to Calixta's house. Alcee intended on just staying outside and wait for the rain to let up, but the storm grew more violent causing Alcee to go in doors. As the storm grew more bold so did Alcee's intentions. At the middle of this section we have the apex of the storm and we also have the union of Calixta and Alcee. The passion between the two of them reaches a maximal level. At the end of the section the storm is over and Alcee is riding away. In section three the storm is over, but we have the aftermath of the storm, Bobinot and Bibi return to their home with Calixta trying to cover up what she did by acting like not .....
