The novel opens on the deck of a large sailing vessel called the Nellie. As the reader is introduced to each character onboard the ship the sun is continuing its decent and shortly all will be exposed to the utter darkness brought upon with the approach of night. Marlow then begins the journey, which will bring the reader into the far reaches of the African Congo. This beginning scene is the first use of the darkness. As in the movie, Pharaohs wife finds the baby herself while playing with Ramses in the river. In the book of exodus it says the Moses fled from Egypt because he was afraid that Pharaoh would have him killed because he killed an Egyptian because he was fighting with a Hebrew. The movie, on the other hand, shows Moses being forgiven for killing the Egyptian. He fled because he couldn’t stand the way his people were under slavery, and he knew he was no .....

Pecola experiences many insecurities and it can definitely be said that many of these are because of the way that Pauline acts in society and around Pecola. It was stated in the story that Pauline would always go to the movies and rate the characters on their beauty. This is one example that shows the obsession that Pauline has with beauty and looks. The arrival of Corbachio prompts Volpone to say “the vultures gone and the old raven’s come”. This line in it’s self exemplifies Jonson’s writing of ncredible depth, as well as Volpone’s ability to say bold things.Volpone and Mosca’s ability to create such meaningful and vivid images in the story is partly why the audience feels so captivated by the play. The 3rd thing that the assault had changed her life with was “mother wit.” Mother wit is common sense. Marguerite of course did not have any common sense because she never used to talk. But if she had talked, she first would not have learned any lesson from Mrs. Flower, because each of them tie in to each other. .... these androids escape and attempt to blend in with human societies. Hence, bounty hunters such as Rick Deckard, are employed by the San Francisco police department. Rick and his wife Iran, are not satisfied with there lives and relationship. They have not achieved what they sought for in life, and it seems they both feel, at least partially, that the other is holding them back. In the year 2021, the simple possession of a live animal is a large status symbol, not to mention a sanitary relief. Rick and Iran do own a sheep, yet, their sheep is electric. When Boxer is sent off to be slaughtered, the characters trust Squealer when he says Boxer is being taking off to a hospital, but the reader knows the truth. While that is a good example, the best, perhaps, is the ending where it is stated that the onlooker could not tell the difference between pig and man. The two most prominent themes in Animal Farm, freedom and oppression, play a very important role in the novel’s irony.
