When people associate a romantic heroine with literature, they sometimes get a different impression of the woman. In most books she is the lead part in the novel. And as well as having the characteristics of an ordinarily thought of romantic heroine, she has great looks and is admired by all society. She seemingly can do no wrong and is liked by everyone. I believe that Jane, on numerous occasions, proves herself to be a romantic heroine. She starts to show .....

This discussion leads into a speech by Friar Lawrence about people having a good side and a bad side like the flower he spoke of. This suggests that he has a background in philosophy. The friar is also very kind and peace loving. He is speaks to Romeo as if they are best friends and Romeo seems to really enjoy being around the friar. They laugh, joke, and discuss Romeo’s lo .....

As is the case in Don Quixote where our chivalric hero takes arms after reading one to many romance novels. Every one sees the irony of Don Quixote, and enjoys it in its more obvious forms. This absurd old gentleman, who tries to put his antiquated ideas into action in a busy, selfish, prosy world, is a figure of fun even to the meanest intelligence. But, with more thought, there comes a check to our frivolity. Is it possible that the criticism is double-edged, and that what we are celebrating with our laughter is the failure of the world? .....

Moloch is seen as an extremist. “which if not victory is yet revenge.” The next person to speak is Belial, a fair person but all that he says comes to nothing, the speech is “false and hollow”, it sounds impressive but means nothing. As a result of having two groups within the whole, a leader must emerge in order to keep the two groups working efficiently. Since there is no adult on the island to take on the responsibility, the character’s environment once again forces them to elect a leader. The person who is elected is Ralph.
