At the start of the play Duncan and Macbeth win the victory for Scotland. Duncan rewarded Macbeth for the courage Macbeth had for himself throughout the victory. .... Pride and Prejudice is a social satire. The language of Pride and Prejudice is astonishingly simple and the verbiage frugal, especially for the period in which it is written. There is no drastic action or heroic characters; however, Austen convincingly 1 develops character with it, and her characters, each with their own dialogue and languistical nuances, stand apart very well. Another interesting note about her characters is that at the end of the novel, all of her characters are punished or rewarded according to their actions throughout the course of the book. That the viewer will eventually see the actual hoofs entails not the interpretive limitation of film, but instead displays its realistic magnificence. .... Eddy's wife Beatrice, a kind and loving wife saw what was happening because she was on the outside. Being unaware of what was happening around him he felt drew him farther from his wife. This lead to many problems and confrontations that did not end with a happy ending. When Eddie finally figured out his exact feelings for himself, but his life was suddenly ended. This is ending is ironic in that in the play Oedipus The King. In this play Oedipus, the main character, had to deal with being metaphorically blind himself because he was blinded by the truth of his parents. Both Oedipus and Eddie had similar problems and occurrences. O .....

.... This is exposed in the novel when Scout is about to shoot the Mockingbird and Atticus halts him. It is also a symbol for security and happiness. In the novel, when the mockingbird is singing everything is okay and everyone is happy. When it is not singing it is significant. The atmosphere is tense. Two examples of this from the novel are the rabid dog in the street (Part 1) and the court case (Part 2) In the novel some of the characters are like mockingbirds. Tom Robinson was one of these characters as he was an innocent figure, he didn't harm anyone and he didn't hurt Mayella. Tom Robinson also brings in the theme of pre .....
