The Music Of Generation X
Number of words: 967 | Number of pages: 4.... "She gets mad/And she starts to cry." Then the songs continues by
talking about loneliness. Drug addiction is often the background for much of
the music in today's society. People tend to idolize famous people and when
they see or hear of their idols using drugs or drinking they follow the actions
of the famous people. Another song in which I am going to discuss is written by
The Smashing Pumpkins. "Tonight, tonight" is a song about growing up. The song
stresses the importance of time and how precious it is, "time is never time at
all/you can never ever leave without leaving a piece of youth/ and our lives are .....

Review Of A Concert Of Sacred Music From The Moores Opera
Number of words: 591 | Number of pages: 3.... men in a beautiful combination.
The music was soft and intimate then quickly getting louder and more
powerful. “Gloria” was trying to make a point in a almost begging manner.
My favorite was the Amen at the end, and how it was equally distributed
between the female and male.
I also enjoyed Credo. It was sad and hurtful. The strings and
oboe played at the time when the choir was singing soft and low which
impacted the mood of the composition.
Coro was the second second group of performers in the concert. Ave
Maris Stella, Magnificat, Quatre Motets pour le temps de Noel, Jauchzet dem
Herrn, Poor Man Lazrus, Celtic Hymn, .....

Alanis Morissette's "Ironic": Isn't It Ironic?
Number of words: 700 | Number of pages: 3.... all you need is a knife@. It always seems that things we need
are never readily available. But I think we can take this beyond just
material things in life to the important ideals, such as our dreams and
goals. Usually we have to go through so much more that we do not need until
we finally reach what we want. A common example would be going through
ten thousand classed to get to the one class we really need.
AIt's like meeting the man of your dreams, then meeting his
beautiful wife.@ Finally, you think you found the most important thing in
your life and then find out you didn't. For a moment your dreams are
standin .....

Music Censorship
Number of words: 3824 | Number of pages: 14.... at one time or another,
censorship made them victims because of their social unacceptable actions or
the content of their music and lyrics. While censorship is slightly more
realistic and open-minded (no more censoring performers from the waist down,
like Elvis Presley on the Ed Sullivan show), it still affects listeners and
their choice of music quite significantly. Although the government, music
associations, and other various groups try censorship, the music a person
chooses is still, and always should be, his choice.
Some children are too young for the exposure to certain types of music. Albums
containing sexually explici .....

Classical Genres
Number of words: 692 | Number of pages: 3.... are the first and second violins, a viola, and a cello. A quartet does not have a conductor like the symphony does, but they didn't need one because they weren't intended to be played for many people. Mozart and Haydn were known for having "jam sessions" in Mozart's apartment. An rarely known fact is that Haydn is the creator of this genre, not Mozart.
Sonatas are multi-movement works that are for a solo instrument or an instrument with accompaniment that uses different forms of music. Many classical composers like Mozart and Haydn wrote many of these for the piano for their students to practice, needless to say, they were not .....

his blue Festiva with Alex. Stopping only to piss and re-fuel, we busted up to
Plattsburg, arriving around 6am. It was amazing to see all the VW Westvalias up
I-87 with Steal you Face, and dancing bear stickers. Once arriving, we picked a
spot to set camp (out of the Wetlands of course) We followed the lead of
crickets bouncing gently round room to a nice spot. Close to the potable water,
yet far enough from the rank smell of port-a-jons. Then we got some needed
sleep.
We woke up around 1pm and I opene .....

Jazz And Classical Music
Number of words: 1741 | Number of pages: 7.... to Western Art
Music or European Art Music. European because most of the major composers up
till the 20th century were European. Vivaldi was Italian, Bach was German,
Mozart and Beethoven were Austrian; they are some of the more prominent
composers. Not until the twentieth century with Gershwin and a few others do we
find American composers writing this kind of art music. For the sake of
convention, we can refer to Western Art Music as Classical music.
Jazz is a distinctively American form of music, and it's history occupies a much
smaller span of time. Its origins are found in the early 1900s as some dance
band leaders in t .....

Sweeney Todd
Number of words: 311 | Number of pages: 2.... of Fleet
Street". It tells the story of Sweeney Todd.
Although what Sweeney Todd does is wrong, I did feel sorry for him.
He had lost his family and lost his mind also. Mrs. Lovett helped him for
two reasons. She needed the money and she fell in love with him.
I first saw this musical when I was very young. It is still one of
my favorites. George Hearn plays Sweeney Todd and his singing is great.
But it is Angela Lansbury as Mrs. Lovett that I like best.
I would recommend this musical to anyone. .....
