.... Galileo also found that Aristotle's belief that objects fall at velocities proportional to their weight was wrong. He found that all objects fall at the same rate; it’s only the density of the median they fall through that causes larger objects to fall slower. Galileo made many discoveries while he was teaching at the University of Padua including a calculating compass, a thermometer, a pump,and the theory of parabola. The parabola was due to the combined forces of horizontal motion and vertical acceleration. This theory was very useful in the firing of guns, and rockets. Gandhi continued his education and his life as if nothing had ever changed, until he was married at the age of thirteen in 1882. Kastura Makinji was Gandhi’s first wife. They were both the same age, and just like Gandhi’s’ mother Kastura could not read or write. She was the daughter of a merchant and like Gandhi lived a rather comfortable life. Newton was excepted into the “society” and then he became the head of the “society” and that was a really big deal back then. He also publishes a book. .... schooling to help plead for Indian settlers in South Africa that were being oppressed by the white population. His personal experiences, including being ejected from a train in Maritzburg, of not being allowed the same rights as others lead him to begin a movement to help his people. While in South Africa, Gandhi made himself poor so that he could identify with his the peasants. He then proceeded to start a colony that consisted of abused labourers. The colony became very large and many cities were crippled by the lack of labourers. The government reacted to this by jailing Gandhi several times along with many other of his foll .....

.... Louis XIV had weaknesses. After Colbert died, Louis made one mistake that undid all of his work. He revoked Edict of Nantes who protected the religious freedom of the Huguenots. Instead of being imprisoned, more than 200,000 Huguenots fled from France. The country lost many of its skilled workers and business leaders. Louis XIV also fought many costly wars that caused his people great suffering. Many of the wars left France on the brink of bankruptcy. .... to form an expedition to explore and conquer the land. A soldier named Diego de Almagro provided the equipment, and the vicar of Panama, Hernando de Luque, furnished the funds. A first expedition resulted in disaster after two years of suffering and hardship. When a second expedition in 1526 fared little better, Pizarro sent Almagro back to Panama for reinforcements. He and part of the group remained on an island. Instead of sending help, the governor of Panama sent vessels to bring back the expedition. Pizarro refused to return.
