When I first saw the cover for the novel, The Gift, I was instantly attracted to it when I saw the name of the author Danielle Steele, and when I saw it was the New York Times' bestseller. I had read many of Danielle Steele's novels before, (such as Wings, Accident, Secrets, and Now and Forever), and I thought that they were fantastic so I read the back of the book.
