In scene 5 of act 1 we meet Lady Macbeth. She is reading a letter from Macbeth informing here of the witches prophecies. Upon reading the letter she becomes delighted and says that he will become "what thou art promised." Macbeth in allowing his wife, his "dearest partner in greatness." to know of his deepest secrets shows us that their relationship is very close.
