To figure out the mystery to the motor I basically just turned it on. I noticed the way it spun with the power cords in each position. No matter the way the cords are hooked up, the same thing happens. I figured that the motor works by magnetizing the four tubes (solenoids). The current leaves the power supply and goes through solenoid 1. The current gives solenoid 1 a magnetic field.
