The effort to pass a Constitutional amendment is a perfect example of democracy at work. It is the majority in America exercising their right to rule, to demonstrate who is in charge here. The Constitution gives the right to peacefully protest an action of the nation. That is what we are doing. It does not give the right to violently protest the foundation of the nation.
