When I was hired I was hired on as a delivery driver. The delivery driver is responsible for all of the deliveries and pick-ups of store merchandise. The only training that I received were two videos. One video was on "Smith's Safe Driving Techniques", and the other was "In-Home Deliveries and In-Store Deliveries". There are pretty much two things that are important to kids around my age, the social aspect and the academic aspect. I would not change my personality, but I would rather like to be friends and get to know other people I don't know now. Maybe it would be neat to be the King my senior year. Also, because I am turning sixteen real soon, I would have this really neat car that not many other people had. Than the next thing I would do would be to adjust my grades, so that I would graduate a valedictorian. Then .....

.... had me realizing the enormous biological disasters such a project would generate. They wanted me to chemically produce hybrid's of different animal species. My first thought was that such a thing was impossible, but they showed me research and experiments done by the government that proved it was possible. The investors sensed my unwillingness and placed a briefcase in my lap. I opened it and found stacks of neatly wrapped bills. It had to have been at least ten million dollars. I was informed that the briefcase was merely an incentive and if I was able to successfully create one of their creatures, then the payoff w .....

These concerns, failure and financial, and not finding a new job made this decision very difficult. The decision to choose a new career was an extremely important one. The sole function of a career is not just to provide a means to make a living; it should have a larger purpose. The work I was doing did little for others, and in fact, served only a small, special interest group. In addition to pursuing a meaningful career, a career should be satisfying, and make some significant contributions to other people's lives .....

.... we win that Glendale game tonight. Later that morning Thomas and I meet up with the rest of the guys from the team, they were all as nervous as we were. Knowing that there was a lot riding on this game, and for some it was even more important because it was the last game of the year. As always we would have no class that day and there would be one big pep rally which the entire student body will attend to celebrate BGD, which stands for Beat Glendale Day. .... I hear many sounds; the ribbit of a dirty-green plump frog hidden amongst the underbrush, chirps of birds high in the sky, and the soft wind as it rustles leaves on the trees. The most amazing scene I have witnessed many times along this pond is the ducks. Every few days, I see a family of ducks traveling across the green grass. The smallest duck, no more than 4 inches tall, would march proudly near the end of the pack. I see sparse, thin clumps of down over his otherwise bare self as he bellows, with his newborn duckling voice, a high pitched quack. As my eyes follow the family towards the frond of the line, the elder duck .....

.... though I have not lived in this room all my life, I keep the memories in my heart and they show up in my room. From a baby till now, my mind has held a lot on in. It has held death and life, good and bad. It has gone through bliss and depression. My floor too is holding a lot on it. .... I wanted to do neither, but I had to choose. The military was off my list and going to a community college sounded o.k. So I registered and the rest of that summer I had to deal with the fact that I had not accomplished anything in the past year and this was wake up call and the only chance I had left to prove to myself that I could do something. The fall semester rolled around and I realized that I wanted to do the work for myself not for anyone else. This proved to be beneficial, for I received a 3.67 grade point average for that semester. That spring was just as good, that year my grade point average was a 3.46. I was happ .....
