Vietnam
Number of words: 441 | Number of pages: 2.... Abbey deal with this? Everyone here hates the war and just wants to go home to their families. Everyday dozens of men are shot or killed by land mines, and I am really becoming depressed. I have seen so many men die just inches away from me. All I can think of is that could be me. I have come to the conclusion that war is the most awful and barbaric thing that anyone would ever have to go through, and I hate it.
One night, in my sleep, I had a dream about being back home. I was with Abbey and my parents and all of my friends. I missed them all so much. I wanted to go home. I needed to go home. I later woke up and found myself cry .....

Everyone looked up and stared as the very noticeable squad car
crept by, hoping to shake the local people, but no one moved just cold
stares back, as if it was a showdown in the wild wild west. Junkies pasted
by with squeaking shopping carts filled with old telephones, hubcaps and
Styrofoam cups and plates. An elderly woman sat on her porch rocking back
and forth, surrounded by a crowd of wild cats waiting patiently for the
bread that sat in her lap. Mothers gathered around a old broken down

A little girl with two pigtails laughed whi .....

Books; Life Long Friends
Number of words: 771 | Number of pages: 3.... It was hard to tear us apart. Hell, it was hard to
tell us apart. We were both round bodied and a bit out of shape. But I always
saw Belle in a jovial light. She had a merry way about her, and her laugh was
infectious; it reminded me if Christmas bells, tingly, jingling and warm. I
miss her. She was happy, giving and warm. Upon reflection, these are the
attributes I look for in friends.
Rachelle holds a special place in my heart. I work with her and have
found her to be a superb listener and always seems to know how to dole out the
right advice. It seems no issue is too large to solve, and I would love to
duplicate her up .....

and the perpetrator escaped out the front door," said the officer. "Nobody
saw or heard anything." .....

Personal Writing: The Pond
Number of words: 454 | Number of pages: 2.... the time for us to find the desired vessel arrived. We chose
the kayaks, and set out for the water. Carefully, with our torn-jeans
rolled up, and shirts off, we dragged the massive thing over the slope of
grass and mud into the shallow stream. We then hopped aboard, grabbed the
paddles, and floated and splashed into nowhere. The wavy current sucked us
downstream, periodically bouncing us off of sandbags and sharp branches
leaning over the water- Now that was true adventure! Minutes later, my
brother and I, after passing under many pipes and tunnels, floated into a
huge "cul de sac" of water, with an island in the center. In ou .....

How To Enjoy Reading A Novel
Number of words: 604 | Number of pages: 3.... that the particular novel may not be interest to the
student, the student may hurry to finish the novel and by the extent to which
the novel is studied.
The joy of reading a novel is lost when a novel is not of interest to
the reader because the reader would not be able to relate to any of the
characters, and would therefore not be able to fully imagine what the author
intended to be imagined at a particular moment in the novel. Not being able to
imagine in a novel does not allow the novel to be read properly which further
causes the reader to lose interest in the novel. Also, if the novel is not of
interest to the student, he .....

I was lucky didn't get bitten by any bugs or flies, I guess it was
