Just because he didn't leave his house, people began to think something was wrong. Boo was a man who was misunderstood and shouldn't have suffered any injustice. Boo did not handle the injustice because he didn't know about it. The character that suffered .....

From what I have read, I can say that I am glad to have not even been alive during this time. It seemed horrible and unbearable. The fact that Elie Wiesel survived through all this terror is beyond my imagination. While reading the book I felt great pity on the Jews. I almost could not bear to finish reading the it. It told of a side to the holocaust that I never even knew existed. All the detailed descriptions of the beatings and circumstances they went through was unbelievable. This book w .....

The government itself was very mysterious and had several parts that were very suspicious to the main character, Winston, who worked in one part of the government. It was divided up into four parts. The Ministry of Truth, where Winston worked, was incharge of education and the arts. The Ministry of Peace, which was in command of war. The Ministry of plenty, which controlled economic affairs. And finally the Ministry of Love, which concerned itself with law and order. Orwell also uses description of technology to show how the government controlled it .....

.... young and innocent portrayal of the narrator seemed to be a powerful influence on my emotional reactions to the poem. I was left with a sense of helplessness and frustration that I was not able to help the boys out of their oppressed state, and because I possess some knowledge of this period of history and culture, I know that the events described in the poem actually took place, and thus the poem becomes even more emotionally moving. It is the value system of the people of England in the 1790s which comes into sharp opposition with my own, especially with the issues that are in relation to the way that children should be treated; .....

There are many obstacles that stand in Odysseus’s way of getting home. Some of the obstacles included the Lotus-Eaters, Cyclops, Sirens, Scylla, and Charybdis.
