.... school genius invented somethingthat is sort of like a television broadcaster. He didn't know it really worked!!!! When Bruno and Boots found out their school was broke and needed more money, Bruno began to think up schemes to put their school on the map.All his attempts seemed to fail, so he vented his anger on the television broadcaster, not knowing it actually worked. He accidently broadcasted many announcements, declaring 'The Fish' will seek his revenge. During these broadcasts, the video camera was focused on a poster of a salmon. The police thinks that these are warning from a group of killers,Bruno is desperat .....

.... lost faith in both God and man, he seeks a new life in Raveloe with new inhabitants, and falls into a routine of work and loneliness. We learn that his greatest joy is in amassing money. He likes how they shine and feel. Silas' few attempts at being neighborly are received with suspicion and he is thought of as fearsome. The children are afraid of his "dead" personality. It is during this important time span when we learn about Silas' past through his flashback, and about his present isolate living in Raveloe. Eliot used this shortened time span to explain a significant amount of events which he combined together to shorten t .....

Victor's younger brother William was strangled to death. It was believed that William's nanny and close friend of the family, Justine, had murdered him. From this time on, Elie only had his father to protect him. The person in charge of their barrack was fairly nice because he treated the Jews like human beings. They were able to eat thick soup with bread, and were occasionally allowed to drink black coffee as well. Since they had no real jobs, what they mainly did was sleep. Elie and his father stayed in Auschwitz for three weeks. At the end of three weeks, the person in charge of their barracks was executed for being too humane. .....

This describes how she never appreciated this bench until she is able to portray it as a piece of art. “Everything delighted her. Even the fact that we still used the benches her daddy made for the table when we couldn’t afford to buy chairs. ‘Oh, Mama!’ she cried. Then turned to Hakim-a-barber. ‘I never knew how lovely these benches are. You can feel the rump prints,’ she said, running her hands underneath her and along the bench.” ( .....

.... that the cat could brush against on to the burners, turn them on and suffocate himself. The cat, is in fact, the perpetrator that causes the accident and near the end of the story when the family meets with foul play, the cat is the only survivor. Irony again is presented when they are driving. The grandmother cautions Bailey about his driving and it so happens they have an accident. As soon as the grandmother talks Bailey into taking a turn to see the farmhouse, Bailey makes the statement, “This is the only time we are going to stop for anything like this” (A Good Man is Hark to Find pg. 359). The irony here is Bailey did not .....

.... poetic style of writing that allows him to realistically portray the many plots of The Great Gatsby. Fitzgerald's realistic construction and development of plot is extremely dependent upon the setting of the novel in which it take place. F. Scott Fitzgerald uses realism to clearly depict the setting of the Great Gatsby. This incredible use of realism could be mostly due to the fact that Fitzgerald lived during the time of the novel, and by using great detail, he was able to reproduce his interpretation of the 1920's. At this time the Great War (WW1) had just ended and the United States was becoming as dominant world power. .....

.... different about Dorian. He sees him in a different way than he sees other men. Dorian is not only beautiful to Basil, but he is also gentle and kind. This is when Basil falls in love with him and begins to paint the picture. Basil begins painting the picture, but does not tell anyone about it, including Dorian, because he knows that there is too much of himself in it. Lord Henry discovers the painting and asks Basil why he will not display it. Lord Henry thinks that it is so beautiful it should be displayed in a museum. Basil argues that the reason he will not display the painting is because he is "afraid that [he] has shown .....

The love that gives desire and power which sustains life, is obvious by the fact that my “fear” of the consequences of a fully developed emotional response leads to its own destruction (Blom 91). Because I am “too passionate” – that is angry, rebellious, and prone to retreat into my richly imaginative inner world for solace, all takes part in winning the love of others. I cannot “bear to be solitude and hated” by others (Blom 91). To gain real affection, I am willing to struggle, both against external circumstances and with my own failings and weaknesses. .... kind of an irony. Something like a metaphor, though she exaggerated everything to make it poignant enough. Not only were the characters a success, the time and place details were incredible. The costumes, ways of manner, history and every background changes as the years passed, and she made the backgrounds so realistic that I could almost feel everything surrounding me. Actually I think Anne Rice had done such a great job that this book should be counted as literature. After reading the last line of this novel, I was both stunned and fascinated, but somehow quite disturbed. It really took me some time and thoughts to understan .....
